Freeze / Unfreeze a Card

If you want to temporarily stop using your card for a certain period, you can freeze it and unfreeze it later when you need it.

If you no longer want to use a card and don't plan to reuse it, you will need to cancel it instead. Click here to learn how to cancel your card.

How to Freeze Your Card

Login to your FlashPay account.
Go to the Cards section.
Select the card you want to freeze.
Click on Settings.
Click on Status (you will see "in-use").
Click Freeze.
Enter the security code:
- By password: Enter your security PIN
- By email: Enter the code received in your email
Now your card is frozen. The card status will show as "freezing".

Freezing your card allows you to temporarily stop all transactions, which is useful if:

Freezing does not cancel your card or affect the balance. You can always unfreeze it when you're ready.

Notes:

If your card is currently frozen and you want to resume using it, follow the steps below to unfreeze it.

Login to your FlashPay account.
Go to the Cards section.
Select the card you want to unfreeze.
Click on Settings.
Click on Status (it will show as "freezing").
Click Unfreeze.
Enter the security code:
- By password: Enter your security PIN
- By email: Enter the code received in your email
Your card is now active again. The card status will show as "in-use".

Unfreezing restores the card back to active use, allowing you to resume transactions immediately.

Notes:

Unfreezing restores full access to your card immediately.
If you no longer want to use a card, you can cancel it. Please note that once canceled, the card cannot be restored, and any remaining balance will be returned to your FlashPay account. Click here to learn how to cancel your card.
